Description
Surf Clear EVO Bio-based Epoxy Resin is UV stable for thin castings and coatings. It is appropriate for tabletops and bar counters therefore one can embed items such as coins, bottle tops and shells etc. into it. Once cast the item will have a high gloss finish.
Uses:
Resin jewellery, pen blanks, knife scales, 3D layered resin art, water effects for architectural models are just some examples for it’s use.
Suitability:
It is suitable for use with all commercial foams: polystyrene, polyurethane, PVC and PET foams. Surf Clear EVO is compatible with all typical fillers and pigments used in the composite industry.

The resin has a light purple appearance. To create translucent, opaque and luminous effects one can use epoxy pigments to colour one’s project. Surf Clear EVO Bio-based Epoxy Resin is designed as a coating or thin casting resin. It is not suitable for thick casting as it will exotherm.
This product will resist yellowing and is water resistant, however, it does not provide 100% UV protection and is not suitable for permanent, outdoor exposure. One can improve the UV protection by overcoating the item with a protective urethane paint such as Top Clear or UV resistant wax polish.
The curing time will depend on the ambient temperature but should take around 2hrs to gel. Allow at least 24hrs before demoulding or attempting to do any finishing work on the resin.
Coverage is 909 millilitres per 1kg with 1 liter covering 1 square meter to 1mm of thickness
