Now almost any absorbent or non-absorbent surface can be transformed into a ground for watercolour paintings by using this revolutionary product.
Let your imagination soar and open up your options beyond white paper!
Simply use a brush or foam to apply the ground to any surface – even wood, metal, ceramic, plastic and glass! Once dry it provides a soft, cottony texture.
You can use this ground to rescue flawed paintings. Paint the Watercolour Ground directly to the area you want to fix. Feather or soften the edges where the ground meets the painting with a dry brush. Leave the Ground to set and dry completely for 24 hours. Repaint over the new surface which will hold up to vigorous scrubbing without damaging the painting surface.
The Daniel Smith watercolour ground can be used with all brands of watercolour paint but is particularly designed for the beautiful Daniel Smith watercolours
