Zellen Clear Gesso Surface Primer is an important art supply to get your surface ready for painting. Gesso is very similar to white acrylic paint, only thinner. It dries hard, making the surface more stiff. Gesso prepares (or “primes”) the surface for painting, making the surface slightly textured and ready to accept acrylic paint. Without gesso, the paint would soak into the pores of the surface.

Can be mixed with pigments, powders & glitters for a mixed media effect. Perfect for use on glass, plastic, canvas, ceramic/porcelain, metal etc.

If you need to prepare your surface for acrylic or oil painting, this a good primer to use with a matt finish and slight tooth. Apply in layers as necessary.
