Crystal Sparkle Acrylic Paints

Apply these paints over any colour surface to achieve a subtle elegant sparkle. They can also be applied over our Metallic Paints.

The only exception is that Crystal Sparkle Rainbow should not be applied onto white surfaces.

Create a subtle sparkle that appears as “small points of light emitted from the surface”.

About Crystal Sparkle Paints

We have formulated each of these excellent paints using a range of a particles and particle sizes. Clever chemistry is used to angle the particles in the dry paint film so that they don’t lie flat. Unlike glitter, the particles used in these paints are virtually transparent which allows the particles to disappear when not sparkling. This avoids the dirt-spec appearance that is created by adding glitter to paint. These products are elegant, highly durable and utilize very unique chemistry. When used on fixed vertical surfaces such as walls the lighting is important. Well lit walls with light that strikes the wall directly is important. Sparkle effects usually don’t work on ceilings as light generally shines down from the ceiling and not up to the ceiling. The angle at which light strikes any surface is important for any sparkle effect to work well.

Remember that the sparkle effect is subtle and not a bling glitter sparkle effect.

Super Adhesion Technology

Pure acrylic paints with Super Adhesion Technology. These paints can be applied directly to masonry, plastics*, melamine, resins, wall tiles**, non-corroding metals***, ridged rubbers, fabrics and interior wood.

* Lightly sand plastics with a fine grit sandpaper before painting.

**Do not use on high gloss wall tiles.

***Non corrosive metals include aluminium, galvanized steel, stainless steel copper, bronze and brass.

(As these paints create a clear coat they should usually not be painted directly over primers or undercoats as these may discolor or breakdown when exposed to light for long periods. It is advisable to paint over primers and undercoats with your required top coat colour and then paint one of our Crystal Sparkle Paints over that.)

Tough enough for use on skirting, door frames and window frames.

Surface Preparation

As with any normal paint, surfaces should be clean, grease free and must not have a flaking or powdery nature or damp problems from below the surface.

Lightly sand resin and plastic surfaces with a fine grit sandpaper prior to applying the paint.

Keep out of reach of children

All our products should be kept out of reach of children under 5 years and anybody who may tend to place items or liquids in their mouths should be supervised. Even packing can become a choking hazard.
