- Watercolour Pads
Watercolour pads are essential for artists working with watercolours. These pads contain thick, absorbent paper designed to handle wet media. The paper’s texture enhances the watercolour’s appearance, allowing for smooth washes and detailed work. They come in various sizes, catering to different project needs.
The quality of the paper prevents warping and ensures colours remain vibrant. Most pads are acid-free, preventing yellowing over time. They are perfect for both beginners and experienced artists. Portable and convenient, these pads are ideal for studio work and outdoor sketching. Using a watercolour pad helps artists achieve professional results.
From creating delicate landscapes to bold abstracts, watercolour pads provide a reliable surface for artistic expression. They enhance the watercolour experience, offering durability and excellent colour retention.
P.S. the ‘not’ simply stands for ‘not hot’: in other words, it just means that the paper was cold-pressed rather than hot-pressed. This strange term in only used the the UK, whilst in the rest of the world ‘Not’ paper is simply called ‘Cold-pressed’ watercolour paper (medium tooth).
