FW Artists’ Acrylic Ink
FW Artists’ Ink is an acrylic-based, pigmented, water-resistant ink (on most surfaces). All of which have either a 3 or 4 star rating for permanence. Having such a high degree of lightfastness makes them ideal for use by artists in the production of pictures for permanent display.
Colours can be substantially diluted to achieve the most subtle of tones. This is very similar in character to watercolour. Such washes will dry to a water-resistant film on virtually all surfaces and successive layers of colour can be laid over.
FW Artists’ Inks work well through
- airbrushes and
- technical pens.
FW Pearlescent Ink
FW Pearlescent Inks are a unique range of water-based acrylic colours producing a shimmering pearl effect.
Pigments are large in particle size so will not go through fine line nozzles for airbrushes. Neither will they be suitable for technical pens or fountain pens. The best means of applying pearlescent colours is
- by using a dipper pen,
- ruling pen or
- brush.
These acrylic-based inks are water-soluble when wet. They dry to a water-resistant film on most surfaces. All colours are very to extremely lightfast.
There is almost limitless creative potential in areas not normally associated with inks and includes applications to wood and leather as well as to paper and board. All colours are intermixable. They are permanent and translucent. They work best if put down freely rather than applying successive layers of colours.
