- Sketch Pads
Some sketch pads are designed for specific media, like graphite, charcoal, ink, or watercolor. Make sure to choose one that matches your preferred medium.
Paper Quality: Available in various textures, from smooth to rough. The choice depends on the medium you’re using. Smooth paper is great for pen and ink, while rough paper works well with graphite and charcoal.
Weight: Measured in GSM (grams per square meter), heavier paper is more durable. It can handle more robust media like watercolor or heavy ink without warping.
Spiral Binding allows for easy flipping of pages and laying flat, which is ideal for working on different parts of a pad. Glued Binding, pages are glued along one edge, which can be easily torn out without damaging the artwork. Hardbound is sturdier and more durable, offering a book-like appearance.
Usually available in various sizes, such as A2, A3, A4, and A5.
