Acrylic Gesso – Dala

Acrylic Gesso is a creamy medium used to prime/coat the surface* you intend to apply colour onto. Gesso will improve the adhesion of paints by giving the surface more “tooth”. The surface can be sanded for a smoother application.

The high solid content and low latex content allows Gesso to be suitable for both acrylic and oil applications.

How to use:

• Use a soft or medium brush to cover your surface with a generous layer of Acrylic Gesso
• Clean brush with warm, soapy water
• Allow to dry completely
• Apply acrylic or oil paints

* Surface you choose may be canvas, glass, plastic, wood, etc. Surfaces that you were not able to paint on previously as they were too smooth to hold paint can be painted with a layer of Gesso and then painted with colour
